October 2010 Newsetter

I’ve been enjoying the crisp autumn weather and change in the season
which I can see more and more in my little London garden. I use
mindfulness techniques to help me notice more and more – walking down
the street I’ll say in my mind what I am noticing – ‘and now I am
noticing the big tree on the corner is starting to lose its leaves,
now I am noticing the girl on the bicycle who is wearing a bright red
wooly cap, now I am noticing how the cool air feels against my skin’
Try it next time you go out for a walk and see how you feel when you
are really present and noticing with curiosity what is around you!

I wanted to give you all notice about a personal development workshop
I’m co-leading with my colleague called ‘Journeying Towards Wholeness
- A Day of Personal Discovery and Exploration’ It will be held on
Saturday 22nd January, 10 – 4:30pm, Central London, Cost £100 (special
offer of £15 each person for two or more people booking together) We
will lead you on a journey through the polarities you might be
struggling with – order vs chaos, being vs doing, autonomy vs
connection. Through experiential group work and creative exercises,
you will deepen your understanding of how you can begin to integrate
polarities to live more from a place of wholeness. If you have a
friend or partner who would like to come, we have a special offer of
£15 off the full price for each person – just enter the word SPECIAL
in the discount code box on the booking site. To book, go to

This month’s poem is by Joy Harjo

Eagle Poem

To pray you open your whole self
To sky, to earth, to sun, to moon
To one whole voice that is you.
And know there is more
That you can’t see, can’t hear
Can’t know except in moments
Steadily growing, and in languages
That aren’t always sound but other
Circles of motion.
Like eagle that Sunday morning
Over Salt River. Circles in blue sky
In wind, swept our hearts clean
With sacred wings.
We see you, see ourselves and know
That we must take the utmost care
And kindness in all things.
Breathe in, knowing we are made of
All this, and breathe, knowing
We are truly blessed because we
Were born, and die soon, within a
True circle of motion,
Like eagle rounding out the morning
Inside us.
We pray that it will be done
In beauty.
In beauty.

May you all soar through the circles of our lives!

As always, I love hearing from you – my heart is always touched by the
emails I receive for those who feel moved to respond.

Till next time!

Warmly
