Winter Solstice Reflections

December 21st, 2018

I'm writing this on the winter solstice - the shortest day of the year.   It's a time when many people take a moment to reflect and hold the polarity of light and darkness - on that darkest night of the year, we can celebrate the knowing knowing that lighter days are coming.   For me, this is such a powerful metaphore for how we can see those dark periods of our life.  We can know that even in the darkness, there wil be lighter days ahead.  And, if it weren't for the dark, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the light of fires or of Christmas lights or candles.  Have a wonderful Solstice!
